On Monday, November 9th, we lost a beloved member of our Boxer Family.
Toni Lootens, a treasured friend, dedicated volunteer and hard working member of the Missouri Valley Boxer Club, passed away suddenly, leaving a void in the lives of family and friends who loved her.
Toni had many interests, including Boxer Rescue, agility, volleyball, bunco, scrap booking and hockey, just to name a few!!
She was also the proud mother of 5 year old twins, Sam & Marissa and happily married to her devoted husband, Mike.
Toni and her family had helped many, many rescue dogs over the years, with everything from fostering to transporting. Their involvement began approximately 10 years ago, when they adopted their first Boxer, Reid. Toni had never had dogs growing up, but after finding her "boxer soul mate" in Reid, she was hooked on Boxers. Next, they adopted Randi, who was Toni's star agility dog. To see Toni and Randi running that agility course was amazing and inspiring. After Reid passed away, they added Tank, another rescue Boxer to their family. Tank is a work in progress and was going to be Toni's next agility dog.
Her life was a full and busy one, but Toni somehow managed to fit it all in and still be there for those that needed her. Whether it was transporting a rescue Boxer, helping with microchip clinics, volunteering at her kids school or helping friends and family, Toni could always be counted on to help at a moment's notice.
Toni's friend's and family work to preserve and honor her memory, while coping with and understanding the loss of a beautiful, kind, loving and generous person, taken from them at such a young age.
