UPDATE 6/2/08: Ok all, Biffle is ready for a new home. We have negative skin scrapes and he has been neutered. He is great with kids of all ages -- he will lick the little one. He lives with a cat & will chase sometimes but if when caught, he licks the cat. He loves his foster sister but he does get a little jealous and pushes her out of the way but never ugly. He needs a lot of stimulation as he is a busy boy.

UPDATE 05/19/08: Biffle has gotten a clean scrape and is pretty much mange free!! He has almost doubled his weight since we got him in February, so hes no longer skin and bones. We have been going on walks and he has decided that a leash isnt so bad. His new favorite thing is fetch - hell go get a toy for me to throw and will bring it back and drop it in front of me without us having to ask him to do so. Its great! Biffle is starting to chew on things a little more, but hes mainly stuck to his own toys, and were very appreciative for that! Biffle loves being outside and could probably spend all day out there if youd let him. Overall, the progress he has made as far as his health and character are amazing.

FOSTER HOME UPDATE: Biffle has quickly learned sit, down, shake, roll over, stay and move. He is very bright. When he came in, Biffle did not know how to play or what a toy was. Our dog has taught him how to play and he is very fun and loves to spend time with her. He also now knows what a toy is and will go get one when you ask him to and bring it to you. Biffle is a cuddler. Anytime we sit on the floor, he is in our lap. He is so sweet. Biffle also knows the command "kennel" and will go straight in and lay down, he doesnt mind spending time in there at all. As far as the cat, Biffle thinks that she should want to play too. He is very nice with her but she does not like dogs at all and just hisses at him. Biffle is still very shy with people he does not know. Whenever anyone new comes to the house, he sticks right to my side. Eventually he warms up to them, but it takes a while for him to get comfortable. Biffle is still a little timid around children as well. He is not aggressive or anything, just a little scared. He finally let our little neighbor girl pet him the other day without him cowering down, so I think that is improvement. We will continue to work on this.

Biffle is our latest mange puppy and was born sometime around August 2007.
