UPDATE 11/07/11: GOOD NEWS!! Catie Jo came thru her Heartworm treatment just fine and is now heartworm free and recently spayed. She is ready to go to her forever home. Check out her new glamor shots, she looks GREAT!!!
UPDATE 10/11/11: Catie Jo is doing well after HW treatment. She is going in to be spayed later this month.
UPDATE 09/01/11: Catie Jo has finished heartworm treatment and doing well. We are waiting for her to recuperate and be rechecked, then spayed. She will be available for adoption in approximately six weeks. Her foster home reports that she’s an incredibly sweet and loving dog, who has stolen her heart!!
Catie is a younger Boxer girl, around 2-3 years old. She came from a small town shelter, where she’d been picked up stray and no one claimed her. The shelter and animal control officers fell in love with her and even gave her extra time at the shelter. Catie Jo is a happy-go-lucky girl who is doing well in her foster home. Unfortunately, Catie is heartworm positive and will be beginning treatment soon. Please keep checking back to see her updated status. Currently she will not be available for adoption for at least six weeks, which will probably be at least the end of August.
