11/14/10: Cece is a fun young girl, probably just over a year old. She is doing well with her foster siblings, both Boxers, and is also doing well with the cats in the house. Although I have not seen her yet around children, I suspect she will be fine -- probably best though with older children that are not so easy to knock over with her Boxer silliness. (Note that Cece got her name from doing major Boxer wiggles, or kidney-beans, that form the letter C, from side-to-side.)
Cece came to us from a shelter in Southern Missouri. When she came to the shelter she was severely emaciated with a litter of puppies, had mange, and was heartworm positive.
Cece has put on some much needed weight, the mange has been successfully treated, and the heartworm treatment will start the week before Thanksgiving.
