Description

* * ADOPTION PENDING * * Update 7/24/06: Necco, Reeses and Kudos are at the same foster home and have really become nice young boys - as nice as 14 week old puppies can be. They know how to sit, they know kennel, and they know the word treat !!! They are learning "off" and that they get to go out and come in faster if they sit at the door instead of jumping on it. They love to play with toys and get into lots of mischief. They take turns being the ringleader and who?s on the bottom of the dog pile - literally. There is also a cat in the foster home and they love to corner him, but when he hisses at them - they all run away. They are learning what "No Kitties" mean, but they are still at the stage where it?s so much fun to chase. They also share the foster home with a deaf dog, so they also are learning the hand signals to each command. They each have their specialties. Kudos "Koodie" is the best sitter of the bunch. Reeses "Reese" is the best kenneler. And Necco is the best eater. Reese is the only one who has been interested in ringing the bell to go outside so he rings it for everyone. They are growing like weeds and still needs several puppy naps throughout the day. They sleep about 6-7 hours most nights, and rarely have crate accidents, but the house is fair game if given the opportunity at this point.
KUDOS is a flashy fawn baby boy & one of 5 puppies born on 4/20/06 whose momma (Ivanna/Sadie) came to us from a state confiscation of an unethical commercial breeder.
Adoption requirements for this puppy are as follows:
1. A physically fenced yard (no electric/invisible fencing, kennel runs, cables or tie-outs, etc.)
2. The ability to let this baby out every 4 hours to potty (general housebreaking rule is that puppies can only hold their bladder/bowels one hour for each month they are old ... i.e. 2 months = 2 hours, 3 months = 3 hours, etc.)
3. Attend 2 group obedience classes ? one puppy class & one general obedience class
4. A willingness to start and/or continue crate training that may have already started in the foster home (depending on age of the puppy)
5. If you have another dog, it must be a female (no same sex placements) & she MUST be spayed
6. The puppy must be raised as a house pet & member of the family (boxers are not outside dogs)
7. Homes with children under the age of 5 will be evaluated on an individual basis
8. Previous boxer or large dog experience IN THE HOME is preferred
9. Placements only in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska & Iowa
If you do not meet ALL of the adoption requirements above, please do not apply. WE WILL NOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS.
Adoption fee is $350. plus a $50. spay/neuter deposit. Adoption paperwork will not be finalized until Kudos has been neutered.
All of our puppies are in loving foster homes & can only be met by approved homes that have already gone through our adoption process.
Adoptions start with an application located at the top of this page.
If you meet all of the adoption requirements, a volunteer will be in contact & a home visit will then be scheduled.
If you submitted an application for one of our puppies but do NOT meet all of the requirements, no further contact will be made as you have just wasted your time as well as ours.
