**FOSTER UPDATE 6/21/06**
Kip is a strong, young boxer male that actually looks like he has some quality breeding in his bloodline. He is a very typical male with a outgoing personality and boxer attitude and would love a home that will challenge him to follow the rules and excel. His foster dad reports that they have been working through several obedience issues over the past month... So far, are making positive progress in his behavior, both in general obedience and in off-leash work... ***
Kip was owner-surrendered to a local shelter and his birthday is 12/9/03. .
Notes from Foster Home: Kipp is a higly active dog, but also very loving. He gets so excited when it is time for breakfast and dinner. He runs and dances.
He loves to play with toys and his people. He can play pretty rough and is very vocal when he plays. He sounds mean, but has never acted or been mean during play. Because of his rambunctiousness a home with small children might not be ideal.
Kipp is very smart and an obedience class will only enhance what he already knows. He is highly treat driven so a clicker class would be ideal for him. He already knows, sit, down, shake hands, and stay (for a little bit anyway).
He loves to sit on his people and at bed time sleep on you as well. He loves to be very close to his people and I mean that literally!
He is a pretty dominant dog, so in a home with another dominant dog would not be ideal. He gets along with other dogs as long as he gets to be top dog. He is not mean, he just likes to be the top dog.
