Description
UPDATE!!!! September 19, 2002: Elmo is doing great, it is getting harder to keep him calm and relatively still he wants to run full speed ahead. He is using his leg much more every day he started with kind of a toe touch walk on it but is putting it down completely now. He still favors it but he does have some degenerative changes to the joint that occured prior to surgery. He is still a bubbly ornery boxer and very happy. He still occupies our bed under the covers on his back snoring as loud as possible every night. He loves to chase our kids around the house and he doesnt need a reason to do so, I think he just does it for fun to get a laugh out of them. He will continue to take an anti-inflammatory and glucosamine condriton supplement to help keep the swelling down in the joint and help to improve the structure of the joint. He has become an expert pill taker as long as he gets a treat and some lovin afterward. I must say that the joint is much improved as far as accumulation of fluid since the surgery we have had minimal to no swelling in the area which only increases his comfort. We cannot thank Boxer rescue and the American Boxer Association ENOUGH for aiding Elmo in his plight for health and happiness. He is a joy to our family and he is my best buddy. We are enclosing some pictures of Elmo with his post-op wrap and some after it was removed. He is a beautiful little boxer and truely just a large lap dog. Thanks for all of your help
