Foster home update 7.10.05

Blair is doing well. She has had an adventurous week. Last weekend
we went downtown for 4th of July festivities. She walked past a
group of horses, a couple of camels and a baby tiger. We walked
through a water mister set up by the fire depart

**ADOPTION PENDING**

**FOSTER UPDATE 8/1/05**

Blair is a loving and affectionate girl. She just loves Truman, and loves to cuddle with him, but she will need a home that can focus alot of time and attention on her and keep her very structured; plus be willing to try alternative ’out of the box methods’ if she needs a change of routine. She is still shy, but some days does better than others. A calmer house with only 1 other dog (at most) will be best; and preferably one that will show her good behavior and keep her focused.
Blair decided to do some home decoration this weekend. She had been quite too long, and as I passed Truman’s crate on the way to the living room, I noticed his crate pad was missing. And sure enough, there was Blair in the middle of the foam covered living room! So Truman gets a new crate pad, and a known lesson is re-learned. If a toddler or a pup is quite to long, you better go see what they are up to!
Blair is making friends with the cat. Problem is the cat does not appreciate haveing Blair’s paws on her. I think that as Blair gets older she’ll be less of a menace to cats, but right now she thinks they are moving chew toys.
She really is a sweet girl, just an active puppy.

*************
Blair was probably born sometime in August 2004 and was surrendered to a local shelter (along with her sister Cady).. unfortunately Blair’s owners neglected to tell anyone that she had a broken leg. Due to quick action by the local volunteer and our caring veterinary staff, with any luck Blair’s leg will be stablized and she will not have to have surgery. As you can see, she does get pretty special treatment as not everyone gets to nap on the doctor’s lap as he returns phone calls. ************************************************
Physically fenced yards and obedience class required.
