Foster update 3/23/05
Took Angel back to Dr. C’s yesterday for stitch removal. She was not amused. After removing the stitches, while I had her around the chest and Mike had her head, Dr. C maneuvered her leg all around. Mike said he saw a look on her face he had never seen

**UPDATE 050605**
Angel continues to improve and is a wonderful addition to our home. She uses her leg more and more and pesters Briggs to play with her when he’s in the mood for a nap. They will play and play and then Briggs will plop down on the deck to rest. Angel will stand over him and bark right in his face. He just looks up at her and then closes his eyes and goes to sleep. He did tell her the other day that she’d pestered him enough, and he took one big paw and put her down. He just stood there with his paw on her shoulder for about 10 seconds and then walked away and laid down. Angel decided it was time to take a break herself.
Took her with us to Travis’ rollerhockey game again today and she just loves all the kids. Her favorite ’friend’ though, was a beautiful butterfly. :-)

**Update 5/1/05**
The vets tell us that Angel’s leg is doing very well and she is beginning to put weight on it. She may never have completely use of it, and may develop some arthritis, but will most likely self-manage. If you don’t have alot of stairs in your home and are looking for a cute little boxer girlie, she might be the one for you**

**Foster update 3/22/05**
Angel has had surgery to her rear leg and we will begin the slow process to get her to start using it again. She does have some muscle tone issues, but don’t let that fool you; she can get around very well; and hopefully better as we get some movement back in that leg**

Angel is an approximately 2 year old flashy brindle female that came to us after she suffered an injury to her rear leg and was deemed unadoptable by the shelter that had her. Angel is a tiny boxer girl and does appear to have old injuries to her rear end that cause her to not use one leg. However, it does not seem to cause her pain and we will continue to work with our veternarians to see if we can restore some use for her.
Angel will need a fenced yard; may be a home without alot of steps; and though she is very social, a fun type obedience class to keep her outgoing.
