Description
**ADOPTION PENDING**
**Foster home update 8/17/04**
Lonnie has now been neutered and is ready for adoption! He is a great dog. He has some separation issues, and should probably be the only dog in the house. He is learning what toys are, but loves to play with adults most. He gets pretty excited!! He is extremely loving and gentle, and just wants to please. He is very obedient, unless he has decided it’s playtime!!

**Foster home update 7/11/04**
He is still doing well. He is wanting to play more every day, and it is obvious he is feeling better and better. He still won’t play with Harrison, just pretty much ignores him, much to Harri’s disappointment. I’m interested to see how he will do with Carlee when he is "released". He’s a little escape artist, as he has learned how to open his crate :\ He’s still interested in the cats, but is not aggressive. Not interested in the kids, but loves Chuck & I and muscles in for his share of attention. He spends most of his non-crate time following me around the house. He & Harrison don’t pile when they sleep, but right now are sleeping about 18" apart on the floor.!**

Lonnie is a 5 or 6 year old brindle male that was pulled from a shelter, and unfortunately, his former owners did not feel it necessary to keep him up to date on heartworm prevention. Lonnie will undergo treatment and with any luck will be available for adoption in July 2004. If you wish to help offset the cost of this treatment, feel free to press the DONATE button on this page, or you can also mail your charitable contribution to MoKan Boxer Rescue, POB 8151, Topeka, KS 66608. And PLEASE.. keep your dogs on heartworm prevention year round. It only takes one infected mosquito to cause this.
