UPDATE: Unfortunately, it looks like Allie has tested positive for heartworm infection. This is very sad for us. For most of her life, Allie was on Heartworm preventative, but there were a few months missed. Now, if you wonder why some of our groups require year round heartworm preventative, just remember Allie and how only missing a few months, one during peak mosquito season, can have devastating consequences.
Allie is a sweet young fawn girl who was just too active for her family. Allie is just 1 y.o. this month and while she is sweet and good natured, she is a very active Boxer girl and her adoptive home will need to be able to properly channel that energy in order to keep this girl out of trouble. Allie has been around young children and other dogs. A fenced yard and obedience classes will be a requirement for her adoption.
