Drake is a 6 month old boy who was kicked down a flight of stairs by an abusive owner when he was just a few weeks old. His back leg was broken in the fall, but his owners neglected to have him treated until gangrene had set in. Then they simply dumped him at a local shelter.
It was too late to save his leg, and it was amputated.
Despite missing a leg, Drake is in no way a "special needs" pet! He outruns nearly every 4-legged dog here, climbs stairs and hops on beads with the best of them! He has a typically happy, enthusiastic boxer puppy attitude. Drake is well-started on his house training, gets along with kids, male and female dogs and kitties. He is doing well on crate training though he does cry when first crated. Drake would make a wonderful addition to any family! Obedience classes suggested and maybe required.
