4/2/10 UPDATE:
Claire has come such a long way since being with me. She no longer fusses about her crate, just a little whining but settles down quickly. She even runs to her crate willingly knowing shell be getting a yummy treat.
Claires a very outgoing girl with a lot of personality and very happy-go-lucky about life. Shes a rough and tumble kind of girl with her foster siblings and loves to play tug with them.
Claire is very curious about cats but does well with them - just look at her new pictures!
If youre looking for an active young girl, Claire just may be who youre looking for. She will need an owner who is structured and will continue to give her the consistency she missed out on early in life.

1/10 Claire, who is barely a year old, came to us from a family in Eastern Iowa. We were orginally told she was blind and could only see shadows, after being around her a very short time I quickly realized she is not blind after all!
Claire has a severe case of Nystagmus from a lack of oxygen at birth. This causes her eyes to sway back and forth - she can see, although her view of the world may be a bit different than ours because of the constant eye movement. Shes obviously learned how to cope and the vet does not believe it will get any worse.
She runs, jumps and plays with her foster siblings and knows exactly were everybody is at all times. Claires a very happy girl and loves to meet new people, she does jump up a bit when excited, but hey what Boxer doesnt?!?! Shes very curious about cats, but is easily redirected.
Claire will need to attend some obedience classes in her new home and have somebody who can guide her with a lot of structure and consistency. A phyiscally fenced yard will be required to adopt Claire.
