Description
UPDATE 07/19/11: Fritz is an energetic guy, to put it mildly. He recently completed basic agility and intermediate agility, with great success. Fritz continues to work on his social skills and some days it’s a struggle!!

UPDATE 03/24/11: Fritz continues his progress, but he is still a wild man!! Not a dog for the faint of heart!! He needs lots of interaction, actually he demands it!! Fritz continues to work on his social behavior with other dogs. He does not have an "off switch". He wants to be good and have fun, but most times takes it too far. I suspect he was taken from his mom & litter mates way too young and missed out on those crucial lessons. Fritz is still not good with cats. In a couple of weeks, he will be starting a basic agility class. I am hopeful this will turn out to be a great outlet for him.

UPDATE 05/25/10: Fritz is now potty trained and crate trained. He has completed a basic obedience class with his foster mom (although this will still be a requirement with a new home). He has proven to be very smart and eager to learn. Fritz will need an adopter who understands boxers and their antics, including their exuberance and stubbornness. He is a wonderful dog who is affectionate and free spirited. If you are an experienced boxer owner and would like a dog that loves to please, Fritz may be the one for you.

UPDATE 11/05/09: Fritz is coming along really well in his foster home. He’s doing very well with housetraining and crate training although he still will have an occasional accident if he’s playing really hard and "forgets" he needs to go to the bathroom (just like a little kid)!!! Fritz is smart and eager to please, but he’s a bundle of energy that needs constant supervision and a home dedicated to training and exercising him to exhaust that abundance of energy!! He is learning about boundaries, but tends to play a little rough with the female Boxer in his foster home, so there is a lot of supervision involved, with redirection if he gets out of hand. Fritz is also NOT a friend to the kitties and I’m not sure he ever will be. Overall, he is a nice boy, with loads of potential.

Fritz is an energetic young male, approximately 1 year old. He came to us very thin, but is slowly putting on much needed weight. Fritz will need a home with a fenced yard and a family committed to lots of exercise and training. He is eager to please, but equally stubborn and occasionally ornery. He will need an experienced Boxer owner to guide him along life’s highway and keep him on the straight and narrow!!! Along with a physically fenced yard adopters must commit to a group obedience class.
