Description
Update 11/24/08: Hank continues to do well. He came back with a clean scrape last week which is fantastic. He is completely housebroken and crate trained. He is turning into a little ham. He somehow manages to get himself into all sorts of puppy predicaments, but he always manages to make me laugh. He is good with kids but is still shy around people he doesnt know, but watch out, once he gets to know you he is very rambuncious. He is a cuddler who enjoys just sleeping on top of you. Hank will make an excellent addition to anyones home.

UPDATE 11/4/08: Hank is blossoming. He is full of puppy intrigue and that usually leads him into interesting puppy predicaments. His newest game is to let his foster sister get the toy he wants and then once she is happy, jump off the steps on top of her. Needless to say, he makes me laugh constantly. He is a very sweet boy who is full of energy. He is making huge steps in his housebreaking and is really almost there. He is a great little guy who does well with kids of all ages and will be a great addition to anyones home.

Update 10/26/08:

Hank is a ham. He is a big time snuggler and loves to please and would rough house all day with my girl if he could. He is full of personality. We are still working on housebreaking, but it is getting better. He is fantastic on a leash and loves to go for walks. At the vet this week he weighed in at 28 pounds. He is still being treated for his mange but it is barely noticeable.

FOSTER UPDATE 10/12/08: Hank is learning the basic obedience commands; he wants to please and is learning fast. He loves to play with his sister and the other dogs in the house. Hank lets his sister lead him into trouble. Hank is eating well and now weighs 24 pounds, but he is still on the thin side. Hank is a happy little boy, and likes people, cats and other dogs.

FOSTER UPDATE 10/5/08: Both pups are playing actively and eating well. Hank and Nora can run up and down a full flight of stairs. No fear for them. No sense either. When it is nap time, one is usually keeping the other one up. Both love to jump up on people and we are actively learning “OFF”. They can jump really high and love to jump up at people waist high. Thats were the “OFF” comes in! They are also great counter surfers, so we use “OFF” for that also. Hank now weighs 22 lbs.

INTAKE: Hank & Nora are breeder surrenders that were born on 5/10/08. Hank is a flashy fawn baby who’s a little on the shy side. He weighed in at 19 lbs.

Both puppies have demodectic mange as well as hookworms. They were isolated for awhile but are now with the rest of the family. They are eating like little piggies but are very active so it may take some time to fatten them up.

Our puppy requirements are:
- A physically fenced yard (no electric/underground fences, kennel runs or tie-outs)
- Someone able to come home every 4-5 hours to facilitate housebreaking and crate training
- Participation in a puppy kindergarten class & one basic group/fun-type obedience class
- Children under 5 in the home must have lived with a boxer or medium/large breed dog before

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO OUR PUPPY REQUIREMENTS -- ONLY HOMES THAT MEET ALL OF THE CRITERIA WILL BE CONSIDERED!
