Description
**ADOPTION PENDING**

9/24/08:
Gavin is still doing very well. He comes out of his shell more and more every day. He is still shy around adults, but is beginning to warm up quicker. He is still a very sweet boy who is pretty low maintenance. He is very affectionate and will be a wonderful addition to anyones home.

9/13/08: Gavin is doing fantastic. He still doesnt care much for his crate but other than that he is the sweetest boy around. He is fantastic with kids of all ages. Gavin is still shy around big people he doesnt know but warms ups and is notorious for giving big kisses.

8/29/08: Gavin was weighed today at the vet and has put on a significant amount of weight. He is looking fantastic and with a few more pounds will be a very big boxer boy. He is a very sweet boy who is still a little shy around people he doesnt know but is a lover when he gets to know you. He is great with kids once he feels comfortable with them.

FOSTER UPDATE 08/16/08: Gavin is progressing well, he is a just a wonderful dog. He has been putting on weight. Gavin is also starting to learn how to play, so we have had a few boxer wrestling matches outside. He is a very sweet boy who knows how to sit and we are working on other commands. Gavins big struggles right now are his fear of anything new, his shyness around people he doesnt know, and the fact that he HATES going in his crate day or night.

FOSTER UPDATE 08/01/08: Gavin is the newest addition to my house that came in yesterday. He is a very sweet fawn boy with the biggest, brightest eyes you have ever seen. While he is taller than his foster boxer sister, he weighs in at an extremely low weight of 42 pounds. He is very malnourished and is in need (at our rescue vet’s guess) of at least 20 – 25 pounds. He also seems to have a little allergy problem (which fits in well at my house) when he goes outside. I have been lucky with housebreaking and the little guy loves to go for short walks. He did also sit today for a treat, so he is all boxer and will do anything for a treat. Right now the goal is to get weight on him and then we will take care of everything else. At this time, he is snoring on a doggy bed beside me.

Gavin is a male boxer, born sometime around August 2007. He was seized from very poor conditions – covered in filth and stuck in a crate in a room full of dogs. You can see pretty much every bone on him and he has a bunch of rough spots that lack fur.
