Description
UPDATE 11/29/08: Because she could not get along with the cat in her first foster home, Jive has been moved to a dog-only home. Her new foster mom says she still has a lot to learn about living inside, but that Jive is eager to please. She plays with her foster sister in the yard, and its a joy to watch her play with the toys in the house. She craves attention but has trouble sitting still long enough to receive it. She is a very busy girl but very loveable.

UPDATE 9/30/08: Jive (or JJ as we call her) is a really nice girl. Her mange is completely gone. Her hair has all grown back and she has the softest coat ever. She still has a couple spots where her hair is thinner but its coming back in there too. The boo-boo on her neck has completely healed - you cant even tell it was ever there. She is very loving with us. At this time - she is a no Kitties girl. We are working with her and her interaction with the kitty, but she is very very very focused on the cat. If we make progress in her NO KITTIES 101 training, it could change but I dont think it will. JJ doesnt play with toys yet, I dont think she knows what they are, but shell learn. She gets along with the other boxers in her foster home, but needs to work on her house manners. It doesnt seem like she is very indoors savvy so everything is new. Positive note - shes only had 1 accident since arriving 2 1/2 weeks ago.

Jive is a flashy fawn boxer girl that was born sometime around Jan 2007. She was -unplaceable- in a large humane society as she has a staph infection due to juvenile mange. She also has a nasty scar on the back of her neck that looks like some kind of burn. This poor girl was dumped by owners as they did not want to spend the time/money and this condition is easily treated. As soon as she is cleared up, her coat should grow back in and she will be spayed and available for adoption.
