Description

UPDATE 8/22/08 Foxy was moved to my foster home about 6 weeks ago because her other foster mom had surgery and needed a little quiet and calm in her home. So, here she is. We had a bit of a problem with housebreaking issues for about the first three - four weeks, but those seem to be resolved. We have more fun with her. She loves to play with the toys and always tries to get one of the other boxers to play with her. She has never chewed on anything that wasnt hers to chew on. She does very well in the crate at night and when were gone to work.
Foxy is still afraid of new people or new loud sounds. We are still working on exposing her to more new "stuff" to show her how many wonderful people and things are out there that will not hurt her. Here at home, once she got used to her environment, shes quite the little clown, quite the little snuggler and quite the pesky little doggie sister. We love her and she will be a wonderful addition for the right home.
UPDATE 05/14/08: Foxy.....what can I say. She decided that my adult son is hers and when he shows up she tries to keep everyone a way from him. We are still working on her fear of people. Several trips to Petco and just parking outside of stores to watch people has helped her. She is loving and a smart little one. She knows when you are not looking and things can disappear. I still haven’t found my house slipper. She like shredded wheat for treats. Plays with toys. She is what I call puppy broke. She needs a friend to play with. The resident boxers & her foster boxer sister just don’t provide her the play a puppy needs.
Foxy was probably born sometime in Dec 2007 and is a classic fawn boxer girl. She is yet another boxer picked up as a stray and not reclaimed by her owner. So far, she is picking up the housebreaking quickly. She’s a smart little girl who learned how to sit after 3 tries. Foxy enjoys playing with stuffed toys & prefers taking her naps on someone’s lap. She gets along well with the other boxers in her foster home, respectful of the senior girl but playful with the younger ones. Not sure about the kitties.
