| Update 4/14/10 |
Ricky is a great boxer and a true example of the boxer spirit. He may not be a spring chicken, but I bet he could keep up with one. Ricky is very well behaved in his foster home, but does get excited when new people enter the house. He does calm down after a little time has passed. Ricky is very smart. He prefers to sleep at the foot of the bed, but doesnt mind sleeping in his crate. Rick needs a home that understands & loves his energy.

UPDATE 4/14/10
Ricky is a great boxer and a true example of the boxer spirit. He may not be a spring chicken, but I bet he could keep up with one. Ricky is very well behaved in his foster home, but does get excited when new people enter the house. He does calm down after a little time has passed. Ricky is very smart. He prefers to sleep at the foot of the bed, but doesnt mind sleeping in his crate. Rick needs a home that understands & loves his energy.
UPDATE 9/28/09
Ricky is 5 now and has a little grey on his face, but his energy level hasnt diminished one bit. Ricky loves toys - almost to the point of obsession!! He always checks out the toy box and gets out several at a time! Ricky likes to lick ! He licks his crate, he licks the air, he licks the other dogs, sometimes he licks us, but he usually just licks the air near us. Ricky is a great dog with a ton of personality - if you are active, need a running buddy - and would like to have an in home comedian - Ricky is the dog for you !!!
Rickys energy level doesnt really mix well with toddlers as he could easily knock them down, so older kids that are sturdy on their feet would be best for Ricky if his forever home has children.
** UPDATE 7/12/2009 **
Ricky has come back to us and is now about 4 or 5 years old. Unfortunately, his family made a lifestyle change and poor Ricky no longer fit in for them. Please contact us if you are looking for a nice male Boxer with all the energy of a youngster but some maturity.
Intake, 2005:
Ricky is a flashy fawn male that was born in Fall of 2004 (approximately) and found himself stranded in a small animal shelter when his family failed to find him.
Rick (ochet) is a very active boxer boy.
