UPDATE 09-25-11: She is a busy, active boxer girl who has found there is much to do and see and smell. Car rides are an adventure. She’s a good jumper and would find agility or any other fun training to be a great way to spend some time. Obedience classes would be the perfect way for her to learn and make new friends. Caly is currently living with a large boxer boy and a tiny pug girl. She gets along and plays with both. She is also living with a kitty, but her foster mom thinks maybe Calypso is just a wee bit too interested in the kitty cat so she’d be better in a home without a member of the feline persuasion. Calypso loves ear rubs and thinks they’re even better if her head is in your lap. She has soft, doe eyes and a coat like silk. Her health issues have been resolved and she is ready for her forever home.

Calypso is a very small boxer female, probably born around June 2009; but barely tops the scale at 45lbs. She was taken in to a large urban shelter where it was surmised she was a puppy; but she is just very small and undernourished. Calypso is undergoing treatment for mange at this time but as we get to know her more, we will update her page.
Adoptions start with applications located at the top of the page. Placements in KS, MO, NE or IA after a home visit. Physically fenced yard is a requirement of adoptions; and also willingness to do a fun-type obedience class.
