Update 2-4-11: Bandit continues to do great in his foster home and is almost ready to go home. We learned that he did not know what stairs were but with a little encouragement, he has overcome this and is a stair pro. He had a trip to the pet store the other day and was introduced to some of the cats for adoption. He did appear interested but was easily corrected and could probably be taught to live with a cat. He continues to be a gentle, patient dog that continues to charm his foster home each day.

Bandit will steal your heart! He is handsome and a lover. There are no strangers in Bandits world, only friends who havent been met yet. He loves to play, and when hes tuckered out, will want to curl up next to you. He is good with other dogs, and would do well in a home where he would have a playmate. Were not sure what he thinks about cats. He is a gentle, patient soul, and would be a great companion for small children or older folks. Bandit is house trained and crate trained and knows some basic obedience, but needs some additional work.

Jan. 15, 2011: Bandit just arrived in our program after being found stray, not being claimed by his owners, and being transferred to us. This very dark brindle boy is estimated to be about 3 y/o. Bandit has some scuffs, abrasions and possible frostbite on his ear tips from being out on his own this winter. Other than these superficial things, he is in great health. He is UTD on vaccs, neutered and tested HW neg. Bandit seems to be a very nice boy thus far, and we will get updates as soon as he settles in his foster home and we get to know him a little better.
