Check out Primers new professional pics! Does he not look great?! Here is what Primers foster has to report...
Prime is a great dog. He is a real *people person* and loves to snuggle with people. He loves kids. When adults walk down the sidewalk, Prime barks. When kids walk by, he whines. He wants to go play with them so badly.
Primer loves to go places. He is great and calm in the car. He loves to walk on the leash. He would go everywhere with you if he could. Primer follows me from room to room when I am home, and he always wants to be at my side.
He is not a big outside dog. If I am out working in the back yard he only stays outside a short time, then he goes in on his own. Primer loves squeaky toys and his red ball!
My other male dog is a great, submissive boy that gets along with anyone. Primer loves to play with him. Because Primer really loves his peeps, we think he would be fine as an only dog. However, we also think he would do well with another, calmer, submissive type female dog that does not get in his face. Primer probably just needs some structure and leadership when it comes to dealing with other dogs that he thinks are unruly! :-) UPDATE 12.22.09: Primer is doing great in his foster home, accepts the crate, is housetrained and gets along with his Boxer siblings and the resident cat. Primer also loves his red ball! Primer is probably not a dog park kind of boy, as he seems to get a little stressed around a bunch of other rambunctious dogs. We believe a Boxer-experienced home is best for Primer. UPDATE 11-29-09: Primer is doing well in his foster home. It appears he would be happy as an only dog or have dogs in his home that are more submissive. He is doing well on his crate training and house training. He is still new so we are still learning about him.
Nov. 13, 2009: Prime Minister, or Primer, just entered our program after being found as a stray. He has been placed in a foster home for assessment, and we will update his profile once we know more about him. He appears to be around 4 yrs. old and is very sweet.
