UPDATE 6 May 2009:
Bella has been doing wonderful in her foster home. She is doing great on walks, even gets excited when the leashes come out. She is doing much better on being kenneled, will even walk in herself. Bella is a great dog, with a funny personality. She is the calmest boxer I have ever met. Bella’s true personality comes out when she is with other dogs. She loves children, still a little shy when meeting people, but we are working on it. Everyone who meets her loves how sweet she is. We are saving money to have her teeth clean, please see last update on how to help with Bella’s teeth cleaning fund.
UPDATE 1 MAY 2009:
The rescue is starting a fund to help Bella have her teeth cleaned. The cost for her teeth will be around $200. If you would like to donate- no amount is too small- please mail your checks to :

UPDATE: 25 April 2009: Bella is back, through no fault of her own. Not everyone in her new home wanted another dog, which is why it is very important that everyone be on board when adopting! Bella is doing great and will find that forever home soon! She would prefer a home with another dog.
UPDATE: 12 March 2009 -- Bella has been doing great in her foster home. She loves playing with her foster Boxer brother and sister. She has been to the dog park and was the social butterfly of the park. Bella does not have a mean bone in her body, and once she gets to know you, watch out! She is a playful girl who loves to steal towels and house slippers! She is working on create training; I only keep her in her pen when at work. She sleeps loose in the house at night, and is loose when I am only gone for a few hours. She has only had one accident, which was my fault. She tried to tell me she needed to go out. She is gaining some much needed weight, and yes, her tongue sticks out all the time! The perfect forever home for Bella is one which will spoil her and give her the love and care that she so deserves.
Bella has just arrived in our program, so not much is known about her. She is very shy and will have to learn that people are good and are not going to hurt her. Once Bella decides to open up and talk to us, we will let you know more about her. Based on her shyness, we think Bella would be best in a calmer home with no children. We will provide updates soon.
Bella will not be available for adoption until approximately April 1.
