UPDATE 11/12/08: Ilsa is a well-adjusted little girl. She does well at the vet, on car rides in her harness, with traffic noises, vacuum cleaners and loud noises in the house. She walks well on a leash. She barks occasionally in the crate. She usually does not bark at the neighbors or their dogs unless her foster brother barks first. She loves to play fetch with a frisbee or tennis ball. She plays well with her foster brother and has had several play times with a Jack Russell terrier. She can also entertain herself if she gets bored. She is oh-so-loving and will soak up as much love as you can throw at her.
UPDATE 10/14/08: Like most boxers, Ilsa craves personal attention. She gives lots of kisses and loves to snuggle. She�s great at playing fetch and will give the toy back nicely. We still have a few nights here and there where she fusses or barks in her crate, but she�s been better about it since we moved her crate to our bedroom at night. She will drink an entire bowl of water in a matter of seconds if you let her, so we�ve been monitoring her water intake more closely. This has gone a long way (fingers crossed)to resolve the potty training issues we had earlier.
Ilsa has been released for placement, so maybe she is the one for you.**
Ilsa is a brindle little girl who was born sometime around Jan 2008. She was surrendered to a humane society with a broken leg. The leg is healing and she will be spayed and placed in a foster home as soon as we can.
