UPDATE FROM FOSTER HOME 2/18/09: Jive has settled in and is showing such a sweet side. She knows no strangers and is more than willing to hug everyone she meets. She is still a very busy girl, but she has calmed down a lot over the last 30 days. She is quiet in the kennel, completely housebroken, can entertain herself and is really just an easy keeper. She would love a home where she can get out for walks, play fetch with a ball or take rides in the car on a regular basis. She would be fine with or without another dog.
Update from Foster Home 1/05/09: Jive (JJ) is doing well. She is still working on getting a new coat, but the darker hair is coming in. She is a ball of energy, and plays with both her foster brother and sister. She can keep herself entertained too, with chewing on a bone or toy. She is dedicated chewer and needs to have toys that can withstand heavy-duty gnawing. She�s no sissy girl....she is a tomboy for sure.
Honestly, JJ is a bit of a goofball. Still, her foster brother and sister like her and let her get away with lots of little sister pestering, walking on them while they�re resting, and stuff like that.
JJ would likely do well in a home with another dog, but she�d do equally well as an only dog as long as she has an active mom/dad/family who will take her out for lots of exercise and play.
Jive is a flashy fawn boxer girl that was born sometime around Jan 2007. She was -unplaceable- in a large humane society as she has a staph infection due to juvenile mange. She also has a nasty scar on the back of her neck that looks like some kind of burn. This poor girl was dumped by owners as they did not want to spend the time/money and this condition is easily treated. As soon as she is cleared up, her coat should grow back in and she will be spayed and available for adoption.
