Description
UPDATE 4/30/08: "Tessa" is a very sweet girl. She is up to a perfect weight now, she is very social, and just wants to please. She is completely house-broke and will jump around by the back door if she needs to go out. She has never offered to jump our 4" fence and will entertain herself outside or inside. She gets all the toys out of the dog box and leaves them out. She throws them up in the air and will play by herself for hours. Her one bad habit that we are working on, is she loves to help in the kitchen. I will be doing dishes and she will put her front paws on the counter and watch me. All she needs is an apron and a chefs hat and shes ready to cook !! She?s a very sweet girl and is ready for her forever home. She likes all kids, but might get a little excited with toddlers and knock them down. A family with toddlers would just have to keep that in mind and be willing to be patient with her.

UPDATE: Tessa moved in Friday the 28th to her foster home. She had already gained 5 lbs from when she first got to the vets office. She is still thin but not so pathetic looking anymore. She has the biggest eyes and that tail really never stops wagging. She hasn?t gotten the whole pottying outside yet or not pottying in the crate, but she?s learning. And while her body may be small, she has a very big bark. In fact some of the other dogs are a little scared of her!! More updates as we get to know each other a little better.

Quintessa is a very emaciated boxer puppy that was born sometime around April 2007. She belonged to a young man who was very ill so his family is caring for him & we are caring for this dear baby. As of today, 12/21, she weighs 24 lbs. For being so thin, she is one happy little boxer girlie & that tail NEVER stops wiggling. Obviously, she is very food oriented & does know how to sit for treats. The vet staff is also working with her on going potty on lead outside. She will be at the vets until she is healthy enough to be moved to a foster home.
