**FOSTER UPDATE 12/25/06**
Ferrari is a pretty good girl. She is housebroken; crate trained and seems to like people. She knows her basic commands, but seems to forget when it?s convenient for her. If I work with her alone and no distractions, she does well.
When Ferrari meets other dogs in an open setting she does very well, and she meets other dogs for the first time well. Ferrari gets along great with a 9 yr old female boxer and a 9 yr old Female rat terrier. Ferrari is also very focused on the cat. She has to be manually re-directed.
She will be a great first time dog for a family with older children that do not have another dog as she is insistent on being the dominant one in the pack. Since she is housebroken and does know her commands, she would be easy to handle.**
**FOSTER UPDATE 12/15/06**
Ferrari has returned to the program as after 3 years her family was no longer able to keep her. Ferrari is a strong-willed, dominant female that would do best as an only dog or one with a very submissive male. "Ferrari is very interested in the cat and will not re-direct with commands,
you have to manually remove her from the room with the cat. I am not sure she is being agressive so much as very, very curious. In regards to people and social skills, she really is a sweet girl. She?s started playing with toys and will drop a toy at the slightest touch from me.***
Ferrari was born on 6/23/03 and is a plain fawn female with just a smidge of white on her nose and is large for her age. Ferrari will need a fenced yard and a family willing to spend some time and take her to a fun obedience class.
