In Memorial ~2000 - 20009
Saturday, September 12, 2009 we put our beloved Reuben to sleep. He was diagnosed with Grade 3 Mast Cell Carcinoma in March and we were told we would have him for probably 6 months. Reuben fought a very brave fight until the very end. He was simply the most precious animal God ever created. He was a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. He gave us an unbelievable amount of joy in his 7 years with us and we will miss him forever. Reuben joins his partner Shana who we lost in February in the big backyard in the sky. Run free big man.
**ADOPTION PENDING**
Reuben is not your typical rescue boxer. He was surrendered by his owners
as they have just gotten too old to handle him any longer. They loved him
dearly & his ‘momma’ cried as she signed him over to us. Needless to say,
Reuben is devastated. Reuben is a 3 yr old, reverse brindle, very LARGE (94 lbs but should weigh around 75-80) boxer boy. He’s super affectionate & is like having a big teddy bear around. He’s housebroken, great with female dogs & ignores the cats. New to him are crate-training & being left alone for long periods of time. (His previous owners were retired & home with him all day.)
