In Memorial ~Pumba/Porter~ 1997-August 4, 2003
Apparently Pumba-Porter had more things wrong with him than we were able to identify in the few short days he was with us. He did pass away overnight on August 3rd & 4th from what appears to be an abscess area on his thyroid. We can only hope that the boxer love he enjoyed with us will carry him in his journey. Peace to you, Pumba-Porter.
Porter is a plain brindle male; about 6 years old, who’s owners opted to dump in an animal control when they no longer wanted him. So far, we have found Porter to be friendly to all other dogs; ignores the cats and is very social. Porter is, however, horribly obese, checking in at 112 pounds; at least 30 pounds more than he should weigh. Porter does have a sluggish thyroid, but his medication is less than 3cents a day. He is neutered, heartworm negative and should be slimmed down and ready for a new home around September 1st.
