**FOSTER UPDATE 6/25/08**
Charlize is a very good girl! It is hard to believe that she is not even two years old yet as she acts very mature and serious sometimes. Other times, she is a complete goof and clown.
She LOVES kids and is very appropriate with them, taking treats from a hand very gently. You can even take away her food bowl while she is eating.
Cats, not so good. She would take chase if one even looked like it might run. I have had her around other boxers, both male and female, and she gets along famously with both, always letting the other dog be the boss. I have not had her around any small fluffy dogs, so I do not know how she views them, as friend or interactive squeaky toys.
She does not like the crate much, but will walk in with encouragement. She MUST have a plastic, airline approved, crate only as she can, and will, disassemble any wire crate from the inside out. Even ones that are supposedly escape proof.
Charlize is not very vocal and is an excellent watch dog. Nothing gets past her and she likes to spend time sitting, looking out a window to watch ... nothing really. I live at the end of a dead end, but she guards that nothingness very well. She does let me know if someone is here, but she does not bark at every falling leaf.
She rides with me every night at work and is excellent with her doggy seat belt harness. **

Charlize is a spayed heartworm positive girl that we estimate was born sometime in early 2007. She was sold by her owner because she was turned in for too many pets. Then she got away from the new owner with two dog sibilings; they came and got the other 2 and left her. Not a good way to start the new year. :( She has started heartworm treatment & will not be available approx 6/1/08.
