Your answers to these questions help us find the best possible match between you and the dogs available for adoption. Remember that we are searching for the perfect home for each individual dog. You may have a perfect home for one dog but not another. This is not an overnight process -- and we are all volunteers -- so please expect some waiting time to be involved.

Please answer each question carefully and as completely as possible. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason and the right to inspect the prospective home environment both before and after adoption. We also may contact your personal and veterinary references prior to conducting the home visit. Furthermore, if we discover that any information on this form was knowingly falsified, we reserve the right to take the dog back into our possession. Before you begin the application, please take the time to review our policies and philosophy sections.

Please remember that the Boxer is a high-energy, people-oriented dog that requires a great deal of exercise and human companionship. Plus, all dogs that have short muzzles cannot tolerate extremes in temperature; therefore, our Boxers are only as house dogs. If you want a dog that does not require a lot of your time and attention, you probably need to look for a different breed.

All dogs adopted from us will be spayed or neutered prior to being placed. We do not provide intact dogs to be bred and add more puppies to the already overburdened pet population.

Once you are a registered user, each section of the form will be saved when you click "Next". You may complete this application all at once, or you may choose to complete the various sections over several days. However, please remember that the application is not submitted to the group -- and the adoption process does not begin -- until the application/interview has been completed in its entirety.

Before you begin this application, you should add any dogs you are particularly interested in to your "Favorite Dogs" listing. Dogs from your "Favorite Dogs" listing or selection will be included within the adoption application, so that you may select these dogs if you wish to adopt them.
