Boxer Rescue
Welcome to the Midwest Boxer Rescue Website. If you would like to create an account, click here.
Boxer rescue organizations throughout Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska work together to rescue and place dogs in loving, permanent homes. All these groups operate as not-for-profit entities, and each has particular requirements for prospective homes. In general, you can expect to complete an Adoption Application or Interview, meet in your home with a rescue representative, keep your new Boxer as an indoor pet, and donate an adoption fee to the rescue organization. More on what is expected, as well as what you can expect from us, may be found in various sections of this site. Please refer to the links at the bottom of this page or to Our Rescue Groups, Boxer Briefs (FAQ's) and Helpful Articles for more details about each rescue group within MWBR and about rescue dogs in general. Here are some recent adoption statistics for the three groups affiliated with MWBR: The Mo/Kan, BSRO and MVBR Boxer Rescue groups placed 56 dogs during 2011. Several more dogs were brought into the program during the 2011 calendar year, with 17 of those intakes carried forward into 2012's group of available dogs. Our successful adoption rate is certainly rewarding, but it would be ideal if fewer of these great dogs were in need of rescue's assistance. However, we are just very thankful that we are able to help and make a difference. The numbers really speak for themselves. Please feel free to contact any of the rescue contacts you find here with your questions, concerns and ideas. The rescue contacts would also be happy to help if you would like to learn how to volunteer your time, money or energy to helping Boxer Rescue. Each group has its own page or link with information on the area it serves, its special needs or requirements, and how you can help that group's efforts. Please keep in mind, however, that all participating groups share applications, information and resources in trying to help or place dogs.
